Here we are! The flight went really well. Considering the many things that could have gone wrong, we definitely feel that Jehovah smoothed out the way before us. We spent the evening with a family that we had met when we were here over the summer, Josh and Tenisa Potvin and their 3 yr. old daughter Cailin. We fell asleep to the sounds of the tropical critters, including one we had never heard before. It sounded something like an emergency siren, really loud and high pitched. The Potvin's think it's some sort of Beetle? We slept great and woke up to this view from their rooftop sitting area.
Not too shabby :-)
We're looking forward to spending the week with my family in celebration of my parents 40th anniversary, attending our first meeting and getting busy in the ministry! Thank you all again for your support and encouragement in helping us to reach this goal. We'll keep the updates coming...
Congrats on your move! We look forward to hearing more about Samara and seeing pictures of the friends there. PS- the loud bugs are cicadas, they are quite big and very noisy but they aren't there all the time, they'll move on at some point. Love, Micah and Meagan
ReplyDeleteI wonder how different history would be if those young lads from Liverpool would have used the name "The Cicadas"?
ReplyDeleteOther than the clear violation of Deut. 22:8 it looks like your friends have an awesome crib on the Coast of Rick.
We love you guys from the bottom of our right ventricles (google that one- that is actually what the lower portion of the heart is called). And we hope you have continued blessings in your full time service.
PS- We are living vicariously through you-
BHaole and JHula
We are glad you guys made it safe. All we ask is that you get a sofa bed so we can come visit and continue our canasta rivalry. Ya I'm talking to you Tait. Be safe!
