The Week in Review

Winter is officially upon us! If you can call it that. Winter to me means cold and it certainly isn't cold here, but it is very rainy. Pretty soon the congregation will start having all of the meetings on one day since it gets very difficult for the brothers to navigate the roads and rivers.

The ministry down here continues to be amazing and fruitful. The appreciation and respect that people in general have for the Bible here is outstanding. We just wanted to share one encouraging experience from today. My parents had a study handed over to them with a couple who lives about a 45 min. drive north of us. From the start the couple has attended the Sunday meeting whenever they're able and shown a great appreciation for what they're learning. This past week their motorcycle broke. With no phone to call my parents and ask for a ride, how would they get to the meeting?? They woke up at 4 am in order to get ready and make the 3-4 hr. walk to the Kingdom Hall. What a good example of appreciation for Jehovah's provisions to feed us spiritually. It had me asking myself if I would have put forth the same effort to make it to the meeting under those circumstances.

This month will be very busy for us as we make our first "exit trip" to renew our visas. This time we're headed to Granada, Nicaragua. The weekend after that we have our English District Convention. We're really looking forward to both!
