When in doubt, go with phonetics...

Attached is a photo of the latest meeting schedule. Can you find our names on the list? :-) We've also included a photo of a whip scorpion (the crazy looking non-venomous insect that we spoke of a few posts back).

This week we've been enjoying the visit of our Circuit Overseer and his wife, Froylan and Deylin Fernandez. He's the same age as Tait and she's a little bit younger than me and has been pioneering since she was 14. This is their second year in the Circuit work after Special pioneering for some years. It has been a very encouraging visit. Deylin told me that Froylan has been trying very hard to use simple words and illustrations in his talks so that all of us English speakers can understand the information. In every talk so far he's used photos and props to help us understand. So loving and very much appreciated.

We've also been moving this week into the place we'll be living at least until the end of the year. We'll be sure to post some photos soon. Next week we're looking forward to the arrival of our dear friends from Seattle, Travis and Victoria Smith, and next weekend we're headed to the assembly hall to tie in to the Zone visit for Mexico. Plenty to look forward to!

We hope you're all doing well.. We miss you all and think of you often and fondly :-) ...

  2. Hi Guys!
I wanted to ask permission to follow your blog...We are relatives of McCarty's (Lane is Laura's brother) and friends of both of your parents - Guy & Carrie were in the same congregation with us in Portland. Lane's brother has property in Samara - is that where you are? They are next to Eric and Anita??? Anyway, SO HAPPY to see you are doing good, give hugs to Jessy & Jodyne for us!

  4. I really had to laugh when I saw your latest post...with E&A's house! In the truth, only 2 degrees of separation! It is Laura McCarty's brother Mark who's property is next door. He & my sister in law Mari knew E&A from Santa Cruz I think?? Maybe from Patterson? Anyway COOL! Spent a few minutes w/ Guy & Carrie at our KH dedication last weekend, we REALLY miss them, and they are looking great! :) Hugs to you ALL! :0) Oh, some other people we know are in Tamarindo, Jeff & Carlee, you probably know them too :)
